LSU held a press conference Monday afternoon to announce that cornerback Patrick Peterson is forgoing his senior season to enter the NFL Draft. Coach Les Miles accompanied Peterson at the presser, and eventually addressed reports that he will meet with Michigan on Tuesday about its head coaching vacancy.
“To this point in time, I have not talked to anybody from Michigan, nor has any of my representation,” Miles said in a brief statement. “I’m told that we will speak, that time and place has not been identified. It’s hard for me to speculate to the substance of the meeting.”
Miles also said that he is “extremely happy” at LSU, and his family has a “real comfort” in Baton Rouge. He did not take questions from the media.
