Big Ten Will Stick With 'Legends And Leaders'

The Big Ten will stick with it's atrocious division names, "Leaders and Legends" for at least the 2011 football season.

The addition of Nebraska allowed the league to split the conference into two divisions and host a lucrative championship game in football. In December, the league announced the names of the divisions, which drew a lot of backlash from fans.

Big Ten chief communications officer Diane Dietz said Friday that the league will do market research during the 2011 season to see how the names play out.

"We’ve always said we’ve heard the feedback. We’re listening. We want to test them and the only way to test them is to let them do what they were intended to do," Dietz said.

There's not a whole lot of reason for this. The names are terrible now. They'll still be terrible after next year.
