Darius Morris recorded Michigan’s first triple-double of the season, scoring 12 points, dishing out 11 assists and grabbing 10 rebounds in Michigan’s 87-73 win over Iowa.
Michigan (13-9, 3-6 Big Ten) won its second straight game as four other Wolverines scored at least 12 points. Jordan Morgan (17) made eight of his nine shots from the floor, while Evan Smotrycz (14), Tim Hardaway, Jr. (19) and Zack Novak (13) hit a combined 12 three pointers for Michigan.
Melsahn Basabe went 9-for-11 from the field in scoring a career-high 25 points for Iowa (8-13, 1-8 Big Ten). Iowa trailed by as many as 21 in the second half but was able to whittle the lead down to single digits with about five minutes left in the game.
