Denard Robinson's Starting Job Is Safe

In the wake of Michigan's first loss of the season and how it happened, many have questioned whether Denard Robinson should continue to be the Wolverines' starting quarterback. Despite the fact that he played like a Heisman Trophy candidate during the first six weeks of the season in the eyes of many, he has received a lot of criticism for his performance against Michigan State, namely for how inaccurate he passed the ball.

On Monday, Michigan head coach Brady Hoke dismissed the idea of Robinson being replaced as the starting quarterback.

"Denard is our quarterback," Hoke said. "We're 6-1 (and) a lot of that is because Denard is our quarterback."

Hoke went on to say that fans may have their own opinion about how the quarterback situation should be handled, but it "doesn't carry much weight."

Although Devin Gardner has received more playing time in recent weeks, don't expect him to suddenly take over the starting job.
