On Oct. 15, Michigan and Michigan State will meet in East Lansing in a crucial game in the Big Ten's Legends Division (it's still weird to type that). The Wolverines can enter the game with a 6-0 record if they win on Saturday at Northwestern, and we already know Michigan State will be 4-1 going into the game since it has a bye this week.
↵Because this will be a rivalry game between at the very least two one-loss teams, I figured it would get the 3:30 p.m. slot on ABC. As it turns out, that slot will have the Illinois-Ohio State game on Oct. 15. Michigan and Michigan State will start at noon and ESPN will have the broadcast.
↵Here's the full Big Ten schedule for Oct. 15 (all times Eastern):
↵Noon: Michigan at Michigan State (ESPN), Indiana at Wisconsin (ESPN2), Purdue at Penn State (BTN)
↵3:30 p.m.: Ohio State at Illinois (ABC)
↵7 p.m.: Northwestern at Iowa (BTN)
↵I guess ESPN feels that more people will tune in to watch the sinking ship that is Ohio State than the Michigan/Michigan State game.
