The 2011 Maui Invitational is set to tip off at 3 p.m. (ET) on Monday with a game between the Michigan Wolverines and Memphis Tigers. The three-day event will continue on Tuesday and Wednesday with Michigan in action potentially against teams like Tennessee, Duke, Kansas, UCLA and Georgetown. The loaded field should make for a lot of great basketball and a great event out in Maui.
After Michigan and Memphis play on Monday, Duke and Tennessee will meet at the Lahaina Civic Center. UCLA and Chaminade will get the later session started, and the first day of action will come to a close with Georgetown and Kansas. Here's a full look at the day one schedule for the Maui Invitational (all times Eastern):
Game 1: Michigan vs. Memphis (3 p.m., ESPN2)
Game 2: Tennessee vs. Duke (5:30 p.m., ESPN2)
Game 3: UCLA vs. Chaminade (9:30 p.m., ESPNU)
Game 4: Georgetown vs. Kansas (12 a.m., ESPN2)
Michigan will play the winner or loser of the Tennessee/Duke game depending on what it does against Memphis. Either way, the Wolverines are set to rematch a team from the 2011 NCAA tournament. Michigan blew out Tennessee in the opening round before narrowly losing to Duke in the round of 32 teams.
