Maui Invitational: Duke Beats Tennessee, Will Play Michigan On Tuesday

The Michigan Wolverines will play the Duke Blue Devils in the second round of the Maui Invitational in a match-up that might bring back some bad memories for fans of the men's basketball program. The Wolverines nearly upset Duke last year in the NCAA Tournament, but Darius Morris missed a buzzer beater to force overtime and ended Michigan's National Title hopes.

Morris has since left the program to play in the NBA, whenever the NBA returns, but Tim Hardaway Jr. and company will look for revenge as they work to advance into the Maui Invite's championship game. The Wolverines earned the right at the rematch with an upset victory over the Memphis Tigers, preceding Duke's win over the Tennessee Volunteers a few hours later.

Duke pulled out a 77-67 victory over the unranked Volunteers behind 18 points from freshman guard Austin Rivers. Seth Curry and Ryan Kelly added 17 points, the latter chipping in six rebounds as well, while Andre Dawkins poured in 10 points to round out the double-digit scorers. Mason Plumlee led the game in rebounding by pulling down 13 boards in 33 minutes.
