2012 Sugar Bowl: Nathan Brink Out, Will Heininger Misses Practice For Michigan

The Michigan Wolverines are still gearing up for the Sugar Bowl, but have some mounting concerns along their defensive line. With bowl game practices on Wednesday, there has been some injury news trickling out. The first thing to note is Nathan Brink, who will miss the game due to injury, according to Angelique Chengelis on Twitter. Brink is used mostly for depth on the defensive line, working in some playing time here or there.

Also of note is Will Heininger, who will not practice with the rest of the team on Wednesday after hurting his foot on Thursday. Heininger has been one of the better players on the line, a strong veteran presence who will be missed if he's not able to play against Virginia Tech.

According to a tweet from Kyle Meinke, both Quinton Washington and Will Campbell are expected to see more time playing on the defensive line. Both players haven't done a lot recently, but could easily be in-line for bigger roles come next season with veterans departing. This could provide some good seasoning for both.
