On the Monday night episode of Jeopardy, which is currently doing its Teen Tournament, Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson was the focus of one of the clues. The category was about "Athletes," and the $200 clue revolved around what Robinson is known for never tying. (The clue also mentioned his 100-meter dash time, which is a nice nod to his speed.) Multiple players rang in, and the girl who answered it was correct in responding, "What are his shoes?"
↵↵(In case you can't watch the video, here's the exact text of the clue and the correct response: "University of Michigan QB Denard Robinson, who runs a 10.4 100 meters, is known for never tying these." Response: "What are his shoes?")
↵The last time a local sports person/team was featured on Jeopardy was last July. The Final Jeopardy question was about the "only current NFC team that has never played in the Super Bowl." Unfortunately for the Detroit Lions, they were the answer to that question, and it is still accurate. Hopefully by this time next year that will no longer be the case.
