State College, PA (Sports Network) - Darius Morris netted 23 points to lead the Michigan Wolverines over the Penn State Nittany Lions, 65-62, in a Big Ten Conference tilt at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Stu Douglass came off the bench to contribute 14 points for the Wolverines (14-10, 4-7 Big Ten), while Tim Hardaway Jr. added 13 points and Jordan Morgan pulled down a game-high 11 rebounds.
Talor Battle led Penn State (12-10, 5-6) with 31 points and seven rebounds, while Cammeron Woodyard contributed 10 points and Tim Frazier handed out eight assists.
The Wolverines took a slim 27-24 lead into the break behind 11-of-26 first half shooting.
Penn State led for much of the second half, as Battle scored 20 points after intermission, but a 10-0 Michigan run gave the Wolverines the lead for good with 3:12 remaining.
Battle recorded his seventh career thirty-point game and his third of the season in the loss.
