March Madness is officially here, and the NCAA basketball tournament bracket is out. The 2011 NCAA bracket is one of the more interesting ones I've seen in years. A lot of bubble teams everyone expected to make the field didn't, and on the flip side, many teams that didn't seem deserving got into the field of 68 teams. Some of the seeds were quite odd as well, such as Michigan getting an eight seed.
↵Speaking of the Wolverines, they are in the West region and are matched up against Tennessee, the No. 9 seed. Duke likely awaits the winner, and considering the games are in Charlotte, that is not a favorable draw in the grand scheme of things. Michigan's game against Tennessee will be on Friday.
↵Michigan State received a No. 10 seed. It will play UCLA in Tampa on Thursday. The winner will likely end up playing Florida, which received the No. 2 seed in the Southeast region.
↵Finally, Oakland was given a No. 13 seed in the 2011 NCAA tournament. The Golden Grizzlies will play Texas in Tulsa on Friday. If The Grizzlies can pull off the upset, they will play either Arizona or Memphis next Sunday.
