The full 2011 NCAA tournament schedule has been released. We learned of the matchups and dates on Selection Sunday, but the times, TV details and announcers weren't made official until late last night.
↵Of the three local teams in the 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament, Michigan State is the only one set to play on Thursday. The Spartans will take on UCLA down in Tampa at 9:20 p.m. (ET). The game will be broadcast on TBS, which is one of four networks broadcasting NCAA tournament games this year. The announcers for the MSU/UCLA game will be Ian Eagle and Jim Spanarkel.
↵Both the Oakland and Michigan basketball teams are set to play in the noon hour on Friday. Oakland will take on Texas in Tulsa at 12:15 p.m. (ET), and this game will be broadcast on CBS. Marv Albert and Steve Kerr are set to call the action. 25 minutes later at 12:40 p.m., Michigan will take on Tennessee in Charlotte. Jim Nantz and Clark Kellogg will be the announcers, and the game will be shown on truTV.
↵(Talk about poor planning ... it would have been nice if two of the local teams weren't on at the same time.)
