We may be 11 months away from the 2012 NCAA tournament, but it's never too early for ESPN's Joe Lunardi to make a bracketology for next year's Big Dance. He posted his bracketology for the 2012 tournament earlier this week, and while it means nothing other than trying to predict the future based on which players are returning, it is interesting to see where he has teams listed.
↵In this edition of bracketology, Lunardi has Michigan as a No. 6 seed in the Midwest Region (St. Louis). The Wolverines are set to play Villanova, and the game is set to take place in Portland. If Michigan beat Villanova, it would take on Gonzaga or Long Beach State.
↵Michigan State is a No. 9 seed in Omaha. The Spartans are in the West Region (Phoenix) and are matched up against Belmont. The No. 1 seed in MSU's pod is Texas.
↵Obviously these predictions don't carry much weight being that we are 11 months away from the tournament. Even so, it will be interesting to look back and see if they were accurate at all. I personally think MSU is a bit underseeded, as I think the Spartans will surprise people next season. Michigan, on the other hand, seems just about right, although its seed will drop quite a bit if Darius Morris doesn't withdraw from the NBA Draft.
