Michigan will unveil its throwback jersey for the Notre Dame night game at 8 p.m. on Friday. The unveiling will take place at Michigan Stadium and will be streamed live on MGoBlue.com if the weather cooperates. The list of guests is not long since the event is private, but athletic director Dave Brandon, head coach Brady Hoke and a representative from Adidas will be there.
↵News of this announcement comes after a picture of what the jersey likely will look like leaked out thanks to an error on the MDen's website. There has been no confirmation that the picture is in fact the actual jersey, but an Adidas promotional picture with the date of the announcement on it features a section of the block "M" from the supposed throwback. Another promotional picture seems to show stripes on the shoulders (and gloves), indicating the picture that leaked out is in fact what Michigan will wear against Notre Dame.
↵As for what Notre Dame will wear, an unveiling of its throwback jersey will also take place on Friday. The promotional picture for Notre Dame seems to show a gold helmet with a green shamrock on it, suggesting the Fighting Irish's helmet will look like this:
↵↵You may want to avert your eyes when this game takes place in September, because these jerseys seem like they're going to be pretty ugly. Well done, Adidas.
