Michigan Punter Will Hagerup Suspended 4 Games

Michigan wide receiver Darryl Stonum isn't the only player set to miss time during the 2011 football season. He is the only one set to sit for the entire year, but wide receiver Terrence Robinson and punter Will Hagerup have both been suspended for violating team rules.

Robinson's suspension is only for the season opener, whereas Hagerup is set to miss the first four games of the year. Hagerup was previously suspended at the end of last season and missed the Ohio State game as a result. Apparently the suspension didn't teach him his lesson, because Michigan's only punter is now out for a third of the season.

Brady Hoke had this to say about the suspensions:

"In order to build a championship-caliber culture, you have to be accountable to each other on and off the field," said Hoke. "There are expectations at the University of Michigan you must live up to."

Seth Broekhuizen primarily replaced Hagerup during the Ohio State game and averaged 28.7 yards a punt. Quarterback Tate Forcier had one punt for 52 yards in what turned out to be his final game with the Wolverines.
