When the new set of college football rankings comes out on Sunday afternoon, the Michigan Wolverines are hoping to find themselves in the top 20. The Wolverines made their season debut in the polls last week, and after winning comfortably against San Diego State on Sunday, Michigan could go from 21st in the USA Today Poll and 22nd in the AP Top 25 to somewhere in the top 20.

Michigan State should return to the rankings this week in the AP Top 25. The Spartans became unranked following their loss to Notre Dame, but they were the first team in the others receiving votes category. As a result, a win on Saturday against Central Michigan pretty much guaranteed they would be back in the poll, and MSU defeated the Chippewas with ease.

Ohio State could also return to the top 25 this week, at least in the USA Today Poll. The Buckeyes were 26th in that poll last week, and after a 37-17 win over Colorado on Saturday, they look like a good bet to be ranked this week.
