Michigan Vs. Arkansas Final Score: Late Rally Falls Short In 66-64 Wolverines Loss

Despite a late surge by the Michigan Wolverines, they were unable to come back and beat the Arkansas Razborbacks on Saturday, dropping a close one 66-64. They were beat handily in the first half, being out-scored by 46-33 before coming back to out-shoot the Razorbacks by 11 points in the second half. It wasn't nearly enough though, and sloppy shooting near the end really hurt them big time.

Trailing by two, Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr. missed multiple shots that would have tied the game up. Arkansas essentially tried to give it away, too, missing a pair of free throws in the closing seconds and giving Michigan plenty of opportunity to come back and win it. They weren't able to score when they needed it most, though, so they fell to 15-5 on the season with the loss to the un-ranked Razorbacks.

Zack Novak led the way for Michigan and all scorers with 17 points, eight rebounds, an assist and a steal. He shot 6-for-9 and made 5-of-7 shots from range . Jordan Morgan put together a solid effort, shooting 7-for-11, but Burke missed 13 of his 19 shot attempts from the field, and five of his six from range. B.J. Young led the way for Arkansas with 15 points, four rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block, shooting 6-for-10 on the day.

Next, the Wolverines will tr y and get back in the win column on Tuesday with a matchup against the Purdue Boilermakers, while Arkansas will take on Auburn on Wednesday.
