Michigan Vs. Purdue Preview: Wolverines Trying For Elusive Road Win

The Michigan Wolverines have hit a rough spot in their season, losing their last three games on the road, and there's no relief in sight, as they'll play four of their next five on the road, including two against ranked opponents in Ohio State and Michigan State. Their last outing was a 66-64 loss to the un-ranked Arkansas and next up, they're traveling to take on the Purdue Boilermakers on Tuesday.

Purdue isn't doing too well either, since a three-game winning streak to end 2011 has set them into a back-and-forth in wins and losses, going 2-3 in the new year, including a bad 83-58 loss in their last outing at the hands of the Michigan State Spartans. That was a game on the road, so the Boilermakers will likely be glad to see home court again with another ranked opponent to face in the Wolverines.

Michigan almost took their last outing against Arkansas, but Trey Burke couldn't sink the three-pointer at the buzzer following a 10-0 run for the Wolverines. It's anybody's guess how they'll be looking when they come back to action. On the road, they've been worse in just about every category, especially in regards to their defense, allowing an average of 71 points, just under 20 more than they allow at home.

The game is set for 7:00 p.m. eastern.
