The Michigan Wolverines have had a great season in the Big 10 so far in 2011/2012, leading the conference for a good long while with a 6-2 record. Unfortunately, they lost their lead when the Ohio State Buckeyes got to 6-2 with a better overall record. The Wolverines get a lucky shot to get their lead right back this weekend when they travel to Value City Arena to take on the third ranked Buckeyes for Big 10 supremacy.
The game against the Buckeyes starts a three game streak against ranked competition culminating in a meeting with rivals Michigan State.
After defeating the Minnesota Golden Gophers to earn coach Tom Izzo's 400th win, the Michigan State Spartans got a deserved weekend off. They'll next face the Illinois Fighting Illini next week before going against the Wolverines in the second Michigan rivalry game.
