Like Michigan did on their second half touchdown drive, the Virginia Tech Hokies cashed in on a defensive interference penalty that kept their drive alive.
Two plays later, Hokies quarterback Logan Thomas plowed his big body right up the gut and into the end zone from the one yard line to put the Hokies within a two-point conversion from knotting things up.

Thomas then hit his tight end in the back of the end zone for two and a tie game in New Orleans.
Michigan will get the football back, but they have only gained 27 yards in the second half, momentum clearly in Hokies favor.
