ANIMATED: Virginia Tech's Danny Coale Unsuccessfully Attempts Fake Punt-Punt

Michigan had gained less than 30 yards in the half and Virginia Tech had an opportunity to pin the Wolverines back inside their own 20.

That seems too obvious, so head coach Frank Beamer opted to go with a fake punt, which team wide receiver/punter Danny Coale turned into the fake punt-punt.

Only he couldn't get the late kick off because he was getting dragged to the ground:

It should come as no surprise that Michigan took the great field possession and gained almost as many yards as they had collected on their previous four possessions and kicked a go-ahead field goal.

Coale's making up for the above-animated embarrassment by catching three passes for 50 yards on the Hokies' final drive of regulation ...
