Wisconsin Vs. Michigan: Wolverines Host Desperate Badgers In Big Ten Battle

The No. 16 Michigan Wolverines (12-3, 2-1) host the No. 18 Wisconsin Badgers (12-4, 1-2) in a huge Big Ten game for both teams as they try to remain among the top teams in the league.

Incentive and effort shouldn't be an issue for either team as they both enter the game following hard-fought losses on the road earlier in the week. Wisconsin will be downright desperate after absorbing two rare home losses. After losing to Iowa last Saturday, the Badgers bounced back with a strong effort that ended in a tough 63-60 loss against No. 10 Michigan State.

Senior gaurd Jordan Taylor continues to lead the Wisconsin attack with 13.7 points and 4.7 assists per game. Jared Berggren, Ryan Evans and Ben Brust all pitch in double-figure points per game, as well.

Michigan came up just short at Indiana on Thursday in the hostile environment of Assembly Hall, instead leaving with their first Big Ten loss. The Wolverines need to get forward Evan Smotrycz going again to provide a helping hand for Tim Haradway Jr. and Trey Burke. Smotrycz only had 8 points and 2 rebounds against the Hoosiers.

The game tips at 1:30 p.m. ET and will be broadcast on CBS.
