That didn't take long. Shortly after it came out that Michigan picked up a commitment from Illinois offensive tackle Kyle Bosch, news dropped that the Wolverines also picked up running back Wyatt Shallman. Shallman hails from Novi and attends Detroit Catholic Central, and although he plays both sides of the ball, the expectation is for him to line up in the backfield for Michigan.
Shallman, like Bosch, is a consensus four-star recruit. Rivals ranks him 160th in the nation and 24/7 Sports has him 181st. Scout has him as a four-star recruit and ESPN has him in its ESPNU 150, although both sites list him as a defensive end rather than a running back (or fullback).
According to Rivals, Shallman has offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Cincinnati and Syracuse.
With Shallman and Bosch both committing to Michigan on Saturday, the Wolverines now have five commits for 2013.
