The Michigan and Michigan State women's basketball teams had to sweat it out on Selection Monday, but both teams ultimately made it into the field of 64 along with Eastern Michigan, the automatic bid winner in the MAC.
Michigan State earned a No. 10 seed in the Raleigh Region and will play No. 7 seed Louisville in College Park, Maryland, in the first round. If Michigan State wins, it will face the winner of No. 2 Maryland and No. 15 Navy in the second round.
Michigan earned a No. 11 seed in the Fresno Region and will play No. 6 Oklahoma in Norman, Oklahoma in the first round. If the Wolverines win, they will take on the winner of No. 3 St. John's and No. 14 Creighton in the second round.
