Scout released its top 300 rankings on Wednesday, and Michigan fans should be extremely pleased with them. The Wolverines have four players in the top 50, three of whom are five-star recruits. Here's the breakdown on them:
- OG Patrick Kugler (5 star, 25th in nation)
- QB Shane Morris (5 star, 28th in nation)
- S Dymonte Thomas (5 star, 35th in nation)
- OT Kyle Bosch (4 star, 49th in nation)
Overall, Michigan has a total of 12 players in the top 300. Here are the other eight: OG Chris Fox (137), TE Jake Butt (147), OT Logan Tuley-Tillman (153), FB Wyatt Shallman (179), OLB Mike McCray (202), CB Jourdan Lewis (251), OG David Dawson (264) and WR Jaron Dukes (287). Of those eight players, only Lewis, Dawson and Dukes are three-star recruits; the rest are four-star players.
To say the least, Michigan has put together quite the recruiting class for 2013 and it's only March 2012. The same goes for Ohio State, and here's a great stat showing how dominant the two schools have been on the recruiting trail:
Among the top 150, Michigan has 6 prospects, Ohio State 5 and the rest of the Big Ten has 0. War, as they know it.— Kyle Meinke (@kmeinke) March 7, 2012
Watch out, rest of Big Ten. Watch out.
