At the start of the month, the Red Hot Chili Peppers put on quite a show at Joe Louis Arena in Detroit. It was capped off with an appearance from the recently retired Nicklas Lidstrom, who was brought out on stage by drummer and huge Red Wings fan Chad Smith.
↵Smith grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, and he appears to be a pretty big Michigan Wolverines fan as well. Case in point: Smith closed out his band's show in Columbus, Ohio, last week with a brief rendition of "The Victors."
↵↵This isn't actually the first time this has happened. Back in 2006, the Red Hot Chili Peppers played "The Victors" in Columbus and Smith apparently came out wearing a Michigan jersey.
