It's still only June and Michigan is now up to 22 commits for its 2013 football recruiting class. The latest player to join the class is North Carolina athlete Channing Stribling, who committed on Thursday morning. He just picked up an offer on Wednesday after performing well at Michigan's camp, and now he is commit No. 22 for the Wolverines.
Stribling is an under the radar type of player, as evidenced by the fact that he is unrated on Rivals. On Scout, he is a two-star recruit, and he has three stars on 24/7 Sports.
According to 24/7 Sports, Stribling only has offers from Michigan, Ball State, North Carolina State and a couple FCS schools.
As reported by Tremendous, Michigan is recruiting Stribling as a cornerback. This means he is the third cornerback to commit for 2013. Jourdan Lewis and Gareon Conley are the others, meaning Michigan very well may be done at the position unless a five-star recruit like Kendall Fuller ends up choosing the Wolverines. In general, Michigan is close to having a full class, which is pretty amazing considering it is only June.
