During spring training, New York Mets third baseman David Wright had to wear a No. 16 Michigan football jersey to repay a bet he lost with Mets COO Jeff Wilpon. The bet was over the Sugar Bowl, and Wilpon's Wolverines were victorious, so Wright, who is a Virginia native, had to wear the jersey.↵
On Friday, Wright was once again photographed wearing the jersey, this time because he was with Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson. Wright wore Robinson's jersey and Robinson wore Wright's jersey. Check it out:↵
Robinson was in New York on Friday as part of the Closing Achievement Gap Initiative. He spoke to 600 eighth-graders and later headed to Citi Field to meet Wright and speak with Wilpon and Mets manager Terry Collins.
