Starting in 2017, the Big Ten and Pac-12 are scheduled to begin a scheduling pact that will see the teams from the two conferences play each other. Before that begins, Michigan is set to take on a Pac-12 team in 2014 and 2015. There have been rumors for a while about what Pac-12 team Michigan will play in upcoming seasons, and it was revealed on Wednesday that it is Utah.

Michigan is scheduled to host Utah on Sept. 20, 2014. It will be Utah's third trip to Michigan Stadium, as the Utes lost 10-7 in 2002 and won 25-23 in 2008 (in the first game of the Rich Rodriguez era).

A season later, Michigan will head to Utah for the second half of this home-and-home series. The Wolverines will play the Utes on Sept. 3, 2015, to open the college football season. Interestingly, the game in 2015 is set to be played on a Thursday, which is something Michigan has never done before.

In recent memory, Michigan has only gone on the road in a non-conference game to play Notre Dame. This won't be the case in the next few years, though, as Michigan is set to play at UConn in 2013 and now at Utah in 2015.
