Roy Roundtree Injury: Michigan WR Ready For Alabama Game

Michigan wide receiver Roy Roundtree is expected to be ready for the Wolverines' Sept. 1 opener vs. Alabama at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas, according to the football program's Twitter account.

Roundtree, a senior, should play a big part in Michigan's offense this season, as he has amassed over 1,700 receiving yards during his three-year career, despite falling off a bit as a junior. His best season came as a sophomore in 2010, when he caught 72 passes for 935 yards and seven touchdowns. Roundtree's status for the opening game of the season had previously been in doubt following undergoing knee surgery a couple of weeks ago.

For the third consecutive season, Roundtree is on the preseason watch list for the Biletnikoff Award, which annually honors the nation's top receiver.

The No. 8 Wolverines and the No. 2 Crimson Tide will kick off at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday.
