Denard Robinson has earned plenty of praise over the past two seasons, but perhaps the highest compliment came from the coach Robinson will play against on Saturday: Alabama's Nick Saban.
Saban said Monday that Robinson might be the best quarterback the Crimson Tide have faced since 2010 Heisman winner Cam Newton.
From the Detroit Free Press:
The Alabama coach - and former Michigan State coach - began his weekly press conference Monday by saying that Robinson was "as significant a player as we've played against maybe since Cam Newton in terms of the quarterback position."
In 2010, the dual-threat Newton relied on his arm more than his legs as Auburn staged a comeback win and went on to win the national championship.
The Wolverines have a tough challenge, but count Saban as one person who wouldn't surprised by a monster game from Robinson.
