Michigan's 2012-2013 men's basketball schedule is out, and the Wolverines are one of the last teams to open their Big Ten season, playing Northwestern in Evanston, Ill., on Jan. 3.
Before that, of course, are pre-conference season games. The Wolverines are in the NIT Season Tip-Off Tournament and will host first- and second-round games at the Crisler Center on Nov. 12 and 13. While the school's athletics website has not announced a first-round opponent in the preseason NIT, a report is out that Michigan will host Oakland in Ann Arbor.
The NIT Season Tip-Off championship game is Nov. 23, the day after Thanksgiving, then it's back home for a game against North Carolina State on Nov. 27.
Michigan hosts Arkansas on Dec. 8, then plays in Brooklyn, N.Y., at the new Barclays Center a week later against West Virginia. The regular season ends March 10 at home against Indiana, and then the Big Ten Tournament is March 14-17 in Chicago.
