LeBron James and Chris Bosh are set to start for the Miami Heat when they take on Andre Drummond and the Detroit Pistons in preseason action on Thursday night, so there should be plenty to watch for in this game. Heat point guard Mario Chalmers (quadriceps) will sit out and Norris Cole will get the start at point guard. Dwyane Wade is probable for the matchup.
When James and Bosh hit the bench, all eyes will immediately turn to Drummond. The No. 9 overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft has been electric for the Pistons so far in the preseason, and the highlight plays have continued to sweep in at a steady pace.
The Pistons are fresh off a breezy 112-86 win over the Orlando Magic on Tuesday night, while the Heat are back from China after their 99-89 loss to the Clippers in Shanghai on Sunday.
Tip is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. CT and the game will be televised on FOX Sports Detroit.
