NBA schedule 2012: Tough week ahead for struggling Pistons

A tough schedule won't do the Detroit Pistons any favors this week, as they look to get their first victory of the 2012-13 season.

Still in need of their first victory this season, the Detroit Pistons host one of the league's best teams, the Oklahoma City Thunder, on Monday night. It kicks off a tough week for this young Pistons squad, which is reeling after a pretty miserable performance during its six-game road trip across the west.

Following the match-up against OKC, the Pistons head to Philadelphia to take on the 76ers, a team that's won three consecutive games after dropping its only two games of the season, both to the unbeaten New York Knicks. It also pits Detroit, the league's worst rebounding team, against one of the league's better teams at attacking the boards.

The week then finishes with a pair of weekend match-ups at home against the Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics. Orlando hasn't won a game on the road yet this season, so that likely constitutes Detroit's best chance of getting a victory this week, barring a surprising upset.
