The Detroit Pistons are 0-8 and off to their worst start in franchise history. Not surprisingly, they also find themselves at the bottom of all the NBA power rankings from around the web.
In Seth Rosenthal's power rankings at SB Nation the Pistons are 30th. Rosenthal marks the only bright spot for the Pistons as the fact that Andre Drummond is getting some minutes now.
The Pistons come in dead last in Marc Stein's rankings at ESPN as well. Detroit fares no better in John Schuhmann's rankings at NBA.com, nor Matt Moore's power rankings at CBS or Kurt Helin's rankings at Pro Basketball Talk. On the plus side, many of the power rankers agree that the Pistons stand a good chance of getting their first win when they play the Orlando Magic on Friday, Nov. 16.
Pistons head coach Lawrence Frank was fired on Nov. 29, 2009 after his New Jersey Nets started the season 0-16; he is hoping to avoid a similar fate in Detroit.
