The Detroit Pistons led by as many as 13 points Friday, but the Orlando Magic used a strong fourth quarter to win 110-106 Friday.
The Pistons led 102-101 with :47 seconds remaining after two Kyle Singler free throws, but a 3-pointer by J.J. Redick put the Magic ahead and Orlando was able to hold on in the final seconds.
Greg Monroe had 23 points and seven rebounds for the Pistons, who built their lead into double digits at times in the third quarter. Redick hit two 3-pointers in the fourth and scored 23 points with five assists.
Orlando dominated Detroit on the boards, out-rebounding them 44-30. Glen Davis had 17 points and 13 rebounds and Nikola Vucevic had 11 points and 13 rebounds. Arron Afflalo scored 19 points for the Magic.
Kyle Singler, making his second career start for the Pistons, had 14 points and fellow rookie Andre Drummond had 10 points and two blocks off the bench.
