Pistons vs. Trail Blazers: Detroit looks for third straight win at home

The Detroit Pistons are only 3-11, but have won those three games in their past six outings, including their last two outings at home. They'll try to take down LaMarcus Aldridge, Damian Lillard, and the Portland Trail Blazers Monday.

The Detroit Pistons will try to win their third straight game at home when they host the Portland Trail Blazers Monday night.

Things have kind of turned around for the Pistons: although they're 3-11, those three wins have come in their last six games. They looked lost Sunday against the New York Knicks, but that's excusable against one of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. Their last two home outings have been cause for hope after the team lost its first three home games, as they've blown out the Boston Celtics and beaten the Toronto Raptors.

The Blazers are just below .500 at 6-7 and are on the second game of an awkward back-to-back after losing in Brooklyn Sunday night. An interesting matchup will be LaMarcus Aldridge and Greg Monroe: Monroe has been pretty pivotal to Detroit's success both as a scorer and as an emerging power on the boards, while Aldridge is established as Portland's go-to man. Brandon Knight will be tasked with checking Damian Lillard in a showdown of talented young points, as the rookie out of Weber State is averaging an impressive 19.6 points and 6.1 assists for Portland.
