After starting the season with eight straight losses, the Detroit Pistons have gone .500 in their last six games, improving their record to 4-11 on the season. The next hurdle for the team is cobbling together a winning streak, which is something it can accomplish with a win over the Phoenix Suns at home on Wednesday night.
Detroit is coming off a 108-101 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers in which second-year guard Brandon Knight outplayed scintillating rookie Damian Lillard, scoring 26 points. Knight will be tested again on Wednesday when he's matched up with Phoenix's Goran Dragic, who is currently setting a career high in player efficiency rating this season.
Phoenix, who has surprised many by getting out to a 7-8 record, will also pose a test for Detroit's formidable frontline. The Pistons escaped the Blazers despite getting torched for 32 points by LaMarcus Aldridge, but may not be so lucky on Wednesday if they prove as flammable against the tandem of Marcin Gortat and Luis Scola.
Tip off is at 7:30 p.m. ET at the Palace and will be broadcast on FSN Detroit.
