Brandon Knight in the Detroit Pistons put together the team best performance of the night on Wednesday as they exploded for a convincing 40-point win over the Phoenix Suns at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Knight poured in 19 points and dished out six assists in just 24 minutes as Detroit transformed an 11-point halftime lead into the most surprising final line of the evening by outscoring the Suns 62-33 in the second half.
Charlie Villanueva also assisted in the effort by putting up 19 points and grabbing six rebounds along the way, while the Suns shot just 28-for-82 from the field (34.1 percent) and turned the ball over 19 times (to just 11 assists). Detroit (5-11) move to 4-3 at home, while the Suns (7-9) dropped to 2-6 on the road.
Other action, the Washington Wizards finally earns their first win of the season by knocking off the Portland Trailblazers, 84-82. Shooting guard Jordan Crawford provided the most offense for the Wizards, as he scored a game-high 19 points on a crisp 7-of-14 shooting.
Meanwhile, Chris Paul (23 points, 11 assists) and the Los Angeles Clippers knocked off Kevin Love ( 19 points, 12 rebounds) and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the late game, by a score of 101-95.
