The Detroit Pistons have won two consecutive games for the first time this season, but that streak figures to be tested tonight as they are in Memphis taking on the Grizzlies, who currently have the NBA's best record.
Detroit's lone road win of the season came on Nov. 14 over the Philadelphia 76ers, and they will be facing a Grizzlies team that has only lost once at home so far (on Nov. 19 to the Denver Nuggets).
The Pistons defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 108-101, on Monday and blew out the Phoenix Suns, 117-77, on Wednesday to wrap up their quick two-game homestand. Memphis, on the other hand, has won three consecutive contests, as they end a five-game stint at home on Friday night.
Brandon Knight and Charlie Villanueva led Detroit's rout of the Suns on Wednesday, scoring 19 points apiece. Knight also added six assists and two steals, while Villanueva contributed six rebounds and two assists.
Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. ET at the FedExForum in Memphis.
