Still eyeing their first victory of the season, the Detroit Pistons have a chance to send the Los Angeles Lakers to 0-4 for the first time since the team's move to California on Sunday night. Despite expectations for a title this season, L.A. has dropped its first three games in very public fashion.
The Pistons are presumably hoping to add to that drama on Sunday night by pushing the franchise to its worst start since moving to Los Angeles in 1957. Detroit is trying to avoid a poor start itself, though, after losing its first two games of the season to the Houston Rockets and the Phoenix Suns, respectively.
After starting the regular season at home against Houston, this game is the second of a six-game road trip across the Western Conference for Detroit. Remaining road games in Denver, Sacramento, Oklahoma City and Houston should certainly test a relatively young squad early in the season.
