The Detroit Pistons announced on Wednesday that rookies Kim English and Khris Middleton were being sent down to the Fort Wayne Mad Ants of the NBA D-League. It's expected that the pair will play in three games over the weekend, and rejoin the Pistons by midweek next week.

Both English and Middleton were second round picks (44th and 39th, respectively) of the Pistons in the 2012 NBA Draft. English played his college ball at Missouri, and Middleton played at Texas A&M.

English has appeared in 10 games for Detroit, and is averaging 3.2 points per game in just over nine minutes per game. Middleton has only made it into three games this year, and is averaging 1.3 points per game in four minutes per game.

The Pistons next play on Friday night, when they travel to Brooklyn to play the Nets at the Barclays Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
