Clippers vs. Pistons: Detroit tries to stop 4-game skid

The Pistons will be looking to get back into the win column with a victory over the Clippers.

USA TODAY Sports

As the calendar turned toward December, it looked as if the Detroit Pistons might have righted their season, but things have gone south as of late. The Pistons enter Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers having lost four in a row and six of their last seven, falling to 12 games under .500 at 7-19.

Granted, those losses have unanimously come at the hands of teams that were in the playoffs last season, and Detroit's schedule does get a bit easier in the coming weeks. But as the team continues to grow, it would undoubtedly like to see itself stand up to some of the best teams the NBA has to offer, and the Clippers are included in that group.

At 17-6, the Clippers have won nine in a row, including the first three games of a trip east that concludes with Monday night's match up with the Pistons. If Detroit is going to knock off the L.A., it will likely have to be in a high-scoring game, as the Clippers have scored more than 100 points in eight of those nine wins.
