Are the Detroit Pistons turning their season around?
If so, it's happening at a slow rate. Nonetheless, the Pistons improved from No. 28 to No. 26 in this week's SB Nation's NBA power rankings.
Detroit picked up wins over the Portland Trail Blazers and the Phoenix Suns. They lost games to the Memphis Grizzlies and the Dallas Mavericks.
Here's what SB Nation's Seth Rosenthal had to say about the Pistons this week:
While Lawrence Frank continues to stir his rotation, the Pistons are making it look like their early-season misery was partially the product of a tough schedule. They've been playing .500 ball over the last two weeks, and may eventually occupy a rung slightly above the league's dregs.
Greg Monroe has been Detroit's primary offense this season. Monroe is averaging a team-high 16 points and 10 rebounds per game. Brandon Knight is the team's second-leading scorer with 13 points per game.
The Pistons have four home games scheduled for this week. They'll take on the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday, and then finish with back-to-back games against the Chicago Bulls and Cavaliers on Friday and Saturday. All games are scheduled for 7 p.m. or 7:30 p.m. ET.
