Switzerland hockey club EV Zug, which employs Detroit Red Wings left wing Damien Brunner, sits in ninth place after 12 National League A games.

Ev Zug has accumulated 13 points on a 4-6-2 record, and is only looking down at three other teams. This is despite a strong performance from Brunner, who leads the league in goals with seven, and is second in points with 17.

Geneve-Servette HC is in first place, and has a healthy nine-point cushion over HC Fribourg-Gotteron, HC Lugano and the Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, all of whom are tied for second place with 23 points.

Geneve-Servette is led by two NHL players, Yannick Weber of the Montreal Canadiens and Logan Couture of the San Jose Sharks. Kevin Romy, who spent time with the Philadelphia Flyers, and Dan Fritsche, who played for the Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers and Minnesota Wild, lead Geneve-Servette with 14 points apiece.
