The Grand Rapids Griffins face a daunting back-to-back-to-back slate this weekend, first hosting the Charlotte Checkers and Rockford IceHogs on Friday and Saturday before heading to Chicago to take on the Wolves Sunday.
Grand Rapids has scuffled to a 1-3 start, although the team won its last game over the Toronto Marlies in a shootout. Nobody has really stood out for the Griffins thus far, with five players at three points to lead the team.
Charlotte, the Carolina Hurricanes' affiliate, is 3-2 to start the season. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET Friday night.
On Saturday, Rockford, the Chicago Blackhawks' affiliate, comes to town. The IceHogs lost their first four games of the season but are now ride a two-game winning streak. The game is scheduled for 7:00 p.m. ET.
And finally, Grand Rapids faces a tough challenge against Chicago on Sunday. The Wolves, the Vancouver Canucks' affiliate, have started the season 4-1, although they did lose the first game of the season in their last outing.
