Looking for a fifth straight win, the Orlando Magic hold a narrow lead over the Detroit Pistons, on top 46-44 at halftime at The Palace At Auburn Hills in Detroit.

The Pistons are aiming for consecutive home wins after topping the Indiana Pacers 96-88 on Saturday. But they have not been able to stop the Magic, who are shooting 56.7 % from the field. Among the hot hands for the Magic are Ryan Anderson, with 11 points, and J.J. Redick, with 8 points off the bench. Dwight Howard leads Orlando with 12 points at the break.

The Detroit Pistons finally have a win on the 2011-12 season and will look to build on that momentum.

Detroit's win over the Indiana Pacers on New Year's Eve gave the Pistons their first victory of the 2011-12 season, but seeking a second straight victory will be a tall order. Detroit hosts the Orlando Magic Monday night at 7:30 p.m., and the Magic have one of the best records in the league so far at 4-1.

Orlando has won four in a row after dropping their season opener, making them one of the hottest teams in the league. Center Dwight Howard had been dominant by averaging 17.4 points and 17 rebounds through five games on the season. Ryan Anderson has been a surprise for them as well, averaging 20.4 points per game. Ben Gordon is currently leading the Pistons at 20 points per game, but Howard will be a very difficult matchup for Detroit to handle.
