The Detroit Lions will have all of their rookies report to training camp on time. There was some uncertainty surrounding if this would actually happen with first-round pick Riley Reiff still without a contract over the weekend, but he signed with the Lions early on Monday morning. He was the final draft pick in need of a deal for the Lions' 2012 class, and now he has one.

Reiff, along with the Lions' other rookies (and injured players), is scheduled to report to Allen Park for training camp on Monday. Veterans will be in town to officially report on Thursday, and the first practice is expected to take place on Friday.

Reiff's deal is for four years with a team option for a fifth year. Contract numbers beyond that are currently unavailable.

Bentley, who goes by the name "Bill," was selected with the 85th overall selection by the Lions in the 2012 draft. An under-sized cornerback, Bentley stands at 5-10 and 182 pounds. The Lions are hopeful that Bentley is capable of playing above and beyond his little frame.

According to a report, Lions head coach Jim Schwartz has stated that Bentley has been putting on weight in the offseason and the team hopes he can put on some more muscle prior to the start of the 2012 season.

The Detroit Lions have agreed to terms with their sixth-round pick, Jonte Green, according to a press release issued by the team. The terms of the deal were undisclosed.

Green was a cornerback at New Mexico State last season. He was the 196th pick of the draft. He had two interceptions last season.

The Lions, who have been looking to upgrade their secondary all offseason, was the third cornerback selected by the Lions in the draft. The other two cornerbacks selected were Louisiana-Lafayette’s Dwight “Bill” Bentley in the third round and Albion’s Chris Greenwood in the fifth round. All three are expected to have a chance to compete for playing time.

He is 6 feet tall and weighs 191 pounds. At the combine he ran a 4.40 40-yard dash.

The Detroit Lions are getting their rookies inked to contracts - something that has been made easier since a new collective bargaining agreement was put in place following an extended lockout in 2011. The rookie wage scale makes things nice and easy, with a hard cap on the ceiling for rookie deals being the deciding factor. Prior to Thursday, the Lions had already agreed with Ronnell Lewis and Travis Lewis.

Now, according to Tim Twentyman on Twitter, the Lions have come to terms with a few more. First off, the Lions agreed to terms on a four-year deal with wide receiver Ryan Broyles, who the Lions drafted in the second round. Broyles is set to wear No. 84 for the Lions this season.

In a follow-up Tweet, Twentyman went on to note that the team has also agreed to terms with linebacker Tahir Whitehead on a four-year deal and cornerback Chris Greenwood, also on a four-year deal. Both players were fifth-round selections by Detroit.

That leaves offensive tackle Riley Reigg, cornerback Dwight Bentley and defensive back Jonte Green unsigned, though a Tweet from Dive Birkett of the Detroit Free Press notes that Green's deal is basically completed at this point.

On Wednesday afternoon, reports started to surface that the Detroit Lions had come to terms with seventh-round draft pick Travis Lewis. Per Adam Caplan, the deal is for four years.

The Detroit Lions have had mixed reviews for their 2012 NFL Draft class, but they're happy with the haul, and presumably know what they're actually doing and plan to do with the players, so it is what it is. The new players will come in, work out some contracts and then hit the organized team activities and training camp, which is always fun stuff. But first, they've got to get situated with their numbers.

It's possible that the numbers will change - there could be numbers taken from training camp bodies and practice squad players, with the rookies eyeing some for the future if said players don't make it onto the final 53-man roster.
