The Detroit Pistons dropped to 4-14 on the season after getting dropped by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night, 99-79. The Thunder improved upon their best Western record to 14-3.

Detroit was never in it, although they didn't fall behind double digits until about, oh, the halfway point of the first quarter. They were down 17 after one quarter, though, and it was more a question of if the Pistons would lose by 40 rather than getting back into it.

Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Russel Westbrook combined for 68 of the Thunder's 99 points on 28-for-41 shooting. That's stupid good.

Rookie Brandon Knight was the team's leading scorer with 13 points on 5-for-9 shooting. Greg Monroe continued to struggle, scoring 12 points on 3-for-14 shooting and grabbing seven rebounds.

The Pistons will go after their fifth win in 19 tries on Wednesday vs. the Heat. T-Pain will be there.

Just when you think the Pistons winning a quality game might turn things around, they hit the road and start laying gassers like they have in Oklahoma City on Monday night. Through 24 minutes, they trail the Thunder 60-33.

The Pistons scored all of 12 points in the first quarter and if it weren't for eight points in the final three minutes of the second quarter they'd inevitably be looking at scoring a franchise low in this one.

Down 27 isn't even all that bad when you consider it could very well be 35-40 already. The Pistons shot 27-percent and allowed the Thunder to shoot an easy 59-percent.

Greg Monroe struggled mightily in the first half, shooting just 1-for-10 (four points and five rebounds). Good news? Austin Daye made his first three-pointer of the season.

To say that the Detroit Pistons have not been doing very well recently would be a massive understatement. Even their recent victory over the Portland Trailblazers didn't help their anemic 4-13 record and they've still lost eight of their last ten games with the other victory coming against the similarly hapless Charlotte Bobcats.

Meanwhile, the Oklahoma City Thunder are still bitter about their dropout to the Dallas Mavericks in last season's playoffs and are doing well this season to make up for it. Kevin Durant has led the Thunder to a 13-3 record and though they did drop a game to the Washington Wizards -- that'd be the worst team in the NBA -- they're still one of the teams to beat in the NBA right now.

The bad news for the Pistons is that tonight's game will be at Oklahoma City, and the Pistons have been absolutely awful on the road so far this season with only a single win against Charlotte to show for themselves away from The Palace this season. They've only twice scored 90+ points on the road as well and against a powerful Thunder offense that could spell bad news for this reeling Detroit team.
