Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson is still fed up about the cheap shot he was given from Seattle's Paul McQuistan on Sunday.

Unhappy with a low block from Seattle offensive lineman Paul McQuistan in Sunday's game, Detroit Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson told Justin Rogers of MLive.com that he believes McQuistan absolutely deserves a fine for his actions.

"If you feel like that's being a tough guy, or that's making a play, cool, but that's chicken (expletive)," Jackson said. "Guys get hurt like that. I understand being tough, being rough, whatever you want to call it, but I feel when a guy doesn't have a chance to defend himself, why are you cutting? Why don't you just put a body on him?"

No penalty was called on the play, but Jackson's momentum from the low shot forced him to land awkwardly on the leg of safety Louis Delmas, a blow that sent Delmas to the locker room for the rest of the day. Though Jackson was lucky to avoid any type of injury, he immediately had to be restrained by teammate Ndamukong Suh after the play.

Jackson's comments come just weeks after Detroit linebacker Stephen Tulloch endured a cut block against the Texans that drew a $10,000 fine from the league office. Lions players are fed up with the frequency of uncalled chop blocks around the league.

Burleson suffered a gruesome leg injury last Monday night in Detroit's ugly 13-7 loss to the Chicago Bears. The fractured leg landed the receiver almost immediately on injured reserve. Prior to the injury, he had the third-most receiving yards on the team behind Calvin Johnson and Brandon Pettigrew. Burleson's two touchdown catches actually led the team.

The motivational tactics seemed to work, especially for Titus Young, the man who replaced Burleson in Detroit's starting offense. Young caught nine balls for 100 yards and two touchdowns against Seattle, including the game-winner in the final minute. The nine catches and 100 yards were both a career-high for Young, while the two touchdowns matched a career-high originally set last season against the Green Bay Packers.

Unfortunately for Sherman, changing one's twitter handle doesn't account for much on the football field. Not only did the Lions come away with an upset win over Seattle, but Sherman was burned by Lions wide receiver Titus Young for a 46-yard touchdown in the second quarter.

Johnson was targeted eight times by quarterback Matthew Stafford in the Week 8 showdown and finished with three receptions for 46 yards, the longest of which was a 26-yard catch. The performance was his second worst of the 2012 season.

The Lions head to Jacksonville for a Week 9 matchup with the Jaguars. Kickoff is slated for 1 p.m. ET and the game will be televised on FOX.

Matthew Stafford has now won 16 career games, and eight of them have been fourth-quarter comebacks.

The Detroit Lions came through in a big way on Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks. They trailed for most of the game, and it took a touchdown in the final seconds of play for them to come out on top, but they did. For quarterback Matthew Stafford, who obviously threw the game-winning pass, it was simply par the course.

As noted by Kevin Seifert via Twitter, Stafford's fourth-quarter comeback on Sunday was his 16th career victory. It also was the eighth time that the young quarterback has led his team on a comeback in the final quarter of play. In other words, half of the time Stafford wins football games, he leads his team on a comeback to do so. He's had nine game-winning drives in the fourth quarter, though only eight comebacks, as a tie is included in the former stat.

It almost wasn't a comeback, though. Stafford led his team to the 12-yard line, trailing by four with under a minute remaining. He threw an incomplete pass to Tony Scheffler, and then Calvin Johnson dropped one right after that. He then hit Joique Bell for an 11-yard game and the Lions burned their final timeout. From the one-yard line, Stafford missed two passes, before hitting Titus Young for the game-winner.

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson has been playing through injuries, most notably a sore knee.

The Detroit Lions came through in the final seconds against the Seattle Seahawks, scoring a touchdown pass with the game on the line to take the lead and escape with a win. But that pass didn't go to star wide receiver Calvin Johnson. No, he had two dropped passes on the day, including what would have been the game-winning score just a couple plays prior. So why was he a non-factor on Sunday?

Well, it could have been the play of cornerback Richard Sherman (who is happy, despite his team's loss, just because he managed to shutdown Johnson), or it could be the fact that Johnson is playing through injuries. According to MLive.com, Johnson is playing hurt, and is doing so out of necessity, given the injury that sidelined Nate Burleson for the season.

Johnson said that he "tried to recoup," and "get everything back," in time, but that he just wasn't himself out there. In an ideal scenario, it's likely that Johnson would have taken some time to rest his knee injuries, which kept him out of practice twice last week. But instead, he decided to play, and only grabbed three catches for 46 yards on Sunday.

Lions safety Louis Delmas left in the third quarter of Sunday's win over Seattle and will be further evaluated on Monday.

Unable to finish out his team's Week 8 win over Seattle due to injury, Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas will undergo tests on his injured left knee on Monday, according to Dave Birkett of The Detroit Free Press.

After missing Detroit's first four games of the year following offseason knee surgery, Delmas made his third consecutive start in the secondary on Sunday against the Seahawks. The fourth-year safety chipped in three tackles, but was removed from the field in the third quarter after apparently re-aggravating his knee injury.

One of Detroit's main vocal leaders both on the field and in the locker room, the 25-year-old Delmas continues to battle with injury problems in the early stages of his career. Though he suited up for 15 games in each of his first two years in the league, he has missed nine contests over the last two seasons due to various injuries, and appears to be slowing down. If Delmas is forced to miss more time, the Lions would likely expand the role of young safety Ricardo Silva, who recorded four tackles and an interception against Seattle.

The Lions trailed 17-14 after three quarters and traded the lead back and forth until the game's final moments. They outgained the Seahawks in total offense with 415 yards compared to 350.

The Lions improved to 3-4 with the victory, while the Seahawks now stand at 4-4.

Fantasy studs/duds

Detroit wide receiver Titus Young had a career day, putting up 100 yards and two touchdowns on nine receptions.

Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch went full beast mode in the second quarter, breaking off a 77 yard touchdown run that gave the Seahawks a 10-7 lead. He finished with 105 yards and a touchdown.

Matthew Stafford also put up some impressive fantasy numbers, throwing for 352 yards, three touchdowns and an intereception. He also ran for another score.

Detroit wide receiver Calvin Johnson had a disappointing performance by his standards, hauling in just three passes for 46 yards.

Did they cover?

The Lions entered the game as 1.5 point favorites and covered the spread with their four point victory over the Seahawks.

What's next?

The Lions will look to a road matchup against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Nov. 4, while the Seahawks will return home to take on the Minnesota Vikings.

After a fairly clean first half, the defenses clamped down for the Detroit Lions and Seattle Seahawks in the third quarter as the teams went scoreless. The Seahawks still hold a 17-14 lead.

Detroit was driving and at the Seattle 29 when a deep pass from quarterback Matthew Stafford to tight end Tony Scheffler was picked off by Seahawks safety Earl Thomas at the Seattle 3-yard line.

Seattle moved 33 yards toward Detroit territory before quarterback Russell Wilson returned the favor, going deep to Sidney Rice but instead getting intercepted by Detroit's Renardo Silva at the Lions' 18-yard line. Silva returned the ball 26 yards before being tackled by Marshawn Lynch.

Lynch has taken nine carries for 90 yards, but most of those came off a 77-yard touchdown run in the first half.

Stafford has 268 yards, two touchdowns and the third-quarter interception. Titus Young leads Detroit with 86 yards and six catches through three quarters.
